Storm damage is always something people don't expect to happen. Do you have an emergency ready kit just in case?

We were actually surprised to learn that 51.5% of US homes have the recommended emergency kit in their home or car. We thought it might be a lot less than that.

Most of us here at SERVPRO of West Evansville to have our emergency ready kits, but not all of us.The American Red Cross encourages that each household and car have a preparedness kit.

The top items in an emergency kit should be:  

1. Water
2. Canned food
3. Can opener
4. Flashlights
5. Batteries
6. Enough food and water for each person in your household for 5 days.
